I was not able to find combs specific to my model and then I found these. These have worked quite well for the most part. Every once in awhile it might slide to the side just a little because my dog's hair is so thick, but they are still pretty good. They are better than I would expect a "universal" set to fit.

If you plan to groom your own dog, this, along with a top-notch clipper is a necessity.

Shipping was fast. Product works as described to lube and cool the blades on our Oster A5 dog clipper. We later saw it for less at Pet Smart.

Perfect lube for clippers. I used to use WD40, spray on and wipe off excess, which works good too. This stuff doesn't smell like WD40, and seems to work a little better too. I use it for the dog gooming clippers, and my regular hair/beard clippers. Kind of expensive though - and the Oster Kool Lube 3 means that it is the 3rd version, not that you get 3 cans, so its basically 12 bucks for one can - a little goes a long way though, and I'm still on my 1st can.

This clipper was not lucky for my pooch. It would not go through the 1 inch hair of my Miniture Schnauzer.
Also the universal combs Amazon is RECOMMENDing to buy with it do NOT FIT. So much for universal. I had to call KV Pet Supply (the company who sells them through Amazon) and after a lengthly trial and error they confirmed that the combs do not fit the clipper. I returned the combs. So---- I called Oster and got low rail combs for the Lucky Dog clipper. They fit, but alas, the clipper is so bad I am returning it. Now I am stuck with combs that probably won't fit any new clipper.
This entire purchase has been a disaster. I did call Amazon about the combs that they are recommending but they still haven't removed the pairing.
Stay away

I have had three sets of these clippers over the last 20 years. I groom my own poodles and love that these clippers, they do not leave razor burn or cut to the skin (when used properly) The only drawbacks, I cannot find replacement blades and they are being discontinued :-( I purchased a set to put away for future as I have puppies that will need to be groomed for the next 15-20 years :-)

This is NOT FOR SHEEP as advertised. Amazon would not let me get my money back because I waited past 30 days :(

The Oster Mini Max Trimmer is a good Trimmer. However, I thought that it was suppose to be quiet for use around the head and ears. My Dog did not like it to be used around the head and ears as it was too loud and vibrated too much even thought it had been oiled prior to use. It was good for trimming other parts though.

After speaking to a barber supply, decided to try the Oster MiniMax as a trimming tool on my Airedale terrier - mostly looking for something to trim the fur between the pads of her feet. Worked well on very fine hairs under her ears, but elsewhere it just wouldn't cut well. Have used and like other Oster clippers, but this one, surprisingly, couldn't perform even light-weight dog grooming jobs.

I like Oster trimmers and I do use this one, but I don't recommend it. It's too small, doesn't cover enough area and overheats a bit. You can find a better one for this price.
